Three Academy players sign first professional contracts
It was a big week for the academy as three academy players signed their first professional contracts with Toronto FC. Noble Okello, Rocco Romeo, and Julian Dunn all inked deals last week. A full report on the deals can be found here.
The Toronto FC Academy U-15 (2002) team that competes in the OPDL U-16 division won both their games this week.
The boys opened up with a 3-2 victory over Burlington Youth. Sebastian Nuzzo, Theodor Corbeanu, and Ralph Priso scored in the victory.
They then went on to defeat Markham 2-0 on Sunday. Mathew Wrobel and Julian Accettola had the goals for the Reds.
The Toronto FC Academy U-14 (2003) team that plays in the OPDL U-15 division fell at the hands of Durham United 2-0.
The Toronto FC Academy U-13 (2004) team that competes in the OPDL U-14 division lost to both Burlington (5-1) and Vaughan (2-1). Luca Accettola and Keegan Walker had the goals.
TFC III draw first place Blue Devils
Toronto FC III played to a 3-3 draw against the first place Oakville Blue Devils on Sunday afternoon. A full recap of the match can be found here.
Shaan Hundal scores for TFC II
Shaan Hundal scored his third goal of the USL season in TFC II’s 2-1 loss in Harrisburg this weekend. Hundal linked up with fellow Academy graduate Malik Johnson on the build up.
