Week In Review: The Preseason Begins

Morrow Preseason

The 2016 campaign is here. I know, what offseason?
Members of the Toronto Football Club reported to the KIA Training Ground to take their medicals on Friday. They’ll begin training on Saturday, with the first media availability session of the new year set to take place on Monday.
It’s been a relatively busy offseason for the Reds, but not as much as in the past. General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko made four key additions, acquiring defenders Drew Moor and Steven Beitashour, as well as midfielder Will Johnson and goalkeeper Clint Irwin.
Before the team begins preparing for their trip to Los Angeles next week, let’s recap the week that was.
Monday - Toronto FC acquires goalkeeper Clint Irwin in a trade with the Colorado Rapids. The Reds sent targeted allocation money (TAM), the club’s highest 2016 third round MLS SuperDraft pick and a conditional 2017 first round MLS SuperDraft pick to the Rapids in the deal.
