The Toronto FC Academy U-17s kicked off their 2017/18 Generation adidas Cup with a convincing 3-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Friday morning.

The Reds opened the scoring courtesy of Jaytin Pabla. Pabla strode into the box and curled home a beauty with his right foot to give the Reds the lead.

Just after the halftime restart, the Reds doubled their lead off a corner kick. The ball fell to Lucas Areco who blasted the ball into the upper left corner.

The Reds sealed the victory when Jacen Russell-Rowe broke in and chipped the Dynamo ā€˜keeper from just outside the 18.

U-15 Division

The Toronto FC Academy U-15s fell at the hands of the Columbus Crew 2-0 on Friday afternoon.

The Crew struck first when Cameron McIntosh curled home a ball that was crossed into him from the far wing.

Columbus doubled their lead shortly after as Samuel Massick volleyed the ball in off a well-worked set piece.

Just after the halftime restart, the Reds looked to have gotten an opportunity to cut the lead to one as they were awarded a penalty kick. However, the Columbus ā€˜keeper was up to the task and stopped the PK.

Elsewhere in the U-15 division, the Chicago Fire defeated the Colorado Rapids 1-0. TFC return to action tomorrow as they take on the Colorado Rapids at 2:30 PM. A livestream of the match will be available on Toronto FCā€™s Youtube Channel.
