Canadian midfielder Julian de Guzman and former Chicago forward Chad Barrett are amongst the Toronto FC players available for selection in the 2010 Expansion Draft which takes place on Wednesday. League newcomers Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers will be taking 10 players each from clubs across Major League Soccer, with two players the maximum a team can lose.

All MLS clubs had to submit their list of 11 protected players to the league on Monday afternoon. Home Grown players on a club’s Developmental Roster are not available for selection in the Expansion Draft, so TFC Academy products Doneil Henry and Nicholas Lindsay did not need to be named on the protected list.
