Toronto FC defender Adrian Cann is unlikely to play again this season. The 30-year-old Canadian international sustained a broken nose after receiving an elbow from Chivas USA forward Alan Gordon last Saturday and has been receiving treatment this week.

Toronto’s Interim Head Coach Nick Dasovic doesn’t expect Cann to play again this season. “I think we are going to shut him down for the three games unfortunately,” said Dasovic. “There might be a chance he can play at the end but I think right now he is going to be done.”

“He has played every minute over the last few months and has done a tremendous job.”

Cann made his debut in Toronto’s 2010 home opener win against Philadelphia Union and has started 25 MLS games in his first season with his hometown team.
