Motagua’s arrival in Toronto was delayed after they missed a connecting flight, but the Honduran squad arrived late Sunday night and will be at BMO Field later today to take a look at the stadium.
The Motagua squad includes four players that represented Honduras at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa last month. Guevara captained Honduras and fellow Motagua players Sergio Mendoza, Emilio Izaguirre and Georgie Welcome were also in the squad. Guevara and defenders Mendoza and Izaguirre started the first two matches in the group stage for Honduras in South Africa but did not play in the final game against Switzerland. Welcome was used as a substitute in all three matches.
