The Toronto FC U-15 team has qualified for the inaugural USSDA U-15 Final and will go for glory against LAFC on Tuesday at 2PM ET. There will be a livestream for the game available on the US Soccer Youtube Channel.
The U-15s qualified after a strong playoff group stage. The Reds knocked off Weston FC 2-1 then fell to the Seattle Sounders 1-0 (their first loss of the season).
The team headed into the final group stage game needing a win over their 401 Derby rival the Montreal Impact for a shot at the finals. After falling behind 1-0 the team rallied back lead by a brace from Hugo Mbongue to come away with the 2-1 victory.
Elsewhere at the USSDA playoffs both the U-18/19s and the U-16/17s were unlucky not to advance out of the group stage as both ended tied for first in the group but missed out on goal differential.
The U-18/19s started off with a 3-2 win over Baltimore Armour, then they knocked off Weston FC 3-0. The Reds finished the group stage with a 5-0 loss to NYCFC.
The U-17s started off with a 2-2 draw with FC Westchester, followed up with a 3-0 win over Real Salt Lake and finished with a 1-1 draw with the Colorado Rapids.
