Harsh Result For Reds

Toronto FC coach Preki felt the result was harsh on his side after watching them fall to a 1-0 defeat against Kansas City Wizards at Community America Ballpark on Saturday night.

"It was a tough loss for us because I felt that we didn't deserve to lose the game," said Preki on Toronto FC Extra Time on GOLTV Canada. "We didn't play great, but it was a hard game with not a lot of chances. They scored on a fluke goal when we made a mistake."

"I thought we had a couple of good chances in the first half and one in the second half, but right now the goals are not coming for us in the league. We don't really have a lot of time to be upset over this. We have to regroup and keep our heads high as we go to Honduras now."

"The encouraging thing is that we don't give up many chances and other teams have a tough chance scoring against us, but we cannot feel sorry for ourselves, we have to find a way to turn things around. We have to have the ability to make plays in the final third of the field. We have a lot of talented players up top but right now making chances is difficult for us. If we want to get to the playoffs that has to change."

"It is disappointing not to get anything out of the game today," said Toronto midfielder Nick LaBrocca. "I thought our effort and performance deserved something. We have got to look at our mistakes and make sure we move on quickly. The good thing is that we have another game coming up in a couple of days time."

Toronto's players will spend Sunday in Kansas City before leaving for Honduras on Monday ahead of the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions League Preliminary Round against Motagua.
