“Chad is feeling a little bit better but he hasn’t trained since the match on Wednesday,” said Toronto coach Preki after training at BMO Field on Monday. “He has been shut off and we will continue to monitor the situation. Hopefully he will start to progress faster.”

After a month out of action, Argentine midfielder Martin Saric is now back in full training. He has recovered from a leg injury that forced him off during the 1-0 win over Colorado Rapids on July 10.

Gambian midfielder Amadou Sanyang continues to sit out training as he recovers from concussion symptoms that have caused him to miss the last three league games. “I am feeling much better now,” said Sanyang. “I just have to keep taking it easy to get fully recovered. The last few weeks I was getting bad headaches and they would keep coming back on-and-off over the course of a couple of weeks. The last few days it has been better and I have to continue being careful. I talked with the doctors and I just have to keep taking care of it and resting.”
