Reds secure a pair of OPDL Titles

The Toronto FC Academy U-14 (2003) and U-15 (2002) teams both brought home some silverware this weekend as they both finished in first place in the OPDL U-15 and U-16 divisions respectively. 


The U-14s knocked off Ottawa South United by a final score of 2-1. Kobe Franklin and Kosi Thompson had the goals.


The U-15s started the week by defeating Whitby 3-1. Cameron Dasilva, Julian Accettola, and Julian Altobelli scored for the Reds.


The team then went on to defeat West Ottawa 4-2 to close out their season. Ralph Priso, Jacen Russell-Rowe, Sebastian Nuzzo, and Matthew Wrobel scored in the finale.

Congratulations to both teams on their accomplishments this season.


Academy graduates play part in record season

Congratulations to Ashtone Morgan, Jordan Hamilton, Jay Chapman and Sergio Camargo for being part of Toronto FCā€™s record-setting regular season and 2017 Supporters Shield triumph.


Morgan, 26, appeared in five matches this season scoring his first career goal in a July 19th match at Yankee Stadium.


Hamilton, 21, appeared in eight matches this season scoring two and assisting one. Hamilton lead the Reds in goals/90 minutes this season with 1.27.


Chapman, 23, appeared in 12 matches this season, scoring his first career goal in a July 22nd match vs. the Colorado Rapids.


Akinola and U.S. eliminated from World Cup

Ayo Akinola and the United States U-17 team have been eliminated from the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.


Akinola made the start for the U.S. in their quarterfinal match against England. However, the Three Lions proved too much for the Yanks as they took the match by a final score of 4-1.
