OPDL Update

The Toronto FC Academy U-15  (2002) team that competes in the OPDL U-16 division defeated Unionville 4-1 on Saturday. Malik Henry, Theodor Corbeanu x2 and Joshua Solomon had the goals in the victory.

The Toronto FC Academy U-14 (2003) team that competes in the OPDL U-15 division knocked off Unionville 2-0 on Saturday. Juan Pablo Sanchez and Stefano Capano scored for the Reds.

The Toronto FC Academy U-13 (2004) team that competes in the OPDL U-14 division defeated SC Toronto by a score of 5-1. Jahkeele Marshall-Ruty had a brace and Gabriel Pellegrino, Shayan Soltanzadeh and Miran Duncan each scored once in the win.

Shaan Hundal scores again

Shaan Hundal was on the mark again for Toronto FC II in their season finale. It was Hundal’s fifth goal in his last four games. The forward finished the 2017 season with a career-high seven goals.

Akinola and U.S. advance to quarterfinals 

Ayo Akinola set up Tim Weah for the United States U-17 team’s opening goal as they defeated Paraguay 5-0 in the round of 16 at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.

The U.S. will now play the winner of England vs. Japan in the quarterfinals.

TFC Academy hold open tryouts

The Kia Training Grounds played host to over 1000 athletes for the 2017 Academy Open Tryouts.

The event is held each fall as the Academy scouts for new talent for the next year’s season.
