Back-to-back: U-17s capture International Soccer Cup

International Soccer Cup Champs 2018

The Toronto FC Academy U-17 (2001) team collected some silverware on Monday night capturing the clubs second consecutive International Soccer Cup title with a 2-1 victory over the York 9 Selects.

Last year, the TFC 2000s knocked off Italian side Juventus on penalty kicks to take home the title.

TFC qualified for the final this year by taking down Peel Halton SA in the semis. Peel scored first late in the first half, but the boys battled back with goals from Jordan Perruzza and Antonio Carlini to take it 2-1.

The final against York was much the same as York scored within the first ten minutes. But much like the semi-final, the Reds got a goal from Perruzza to equalize and a winner from Carlini to take the final 2-1.
