Toronto FC’s players arrived in Seattle on Thursday night and will train at the Sounders’ Starfire Training Complex on Friday afternoon in preparation for Saturday’s match at Qwest Field (kickoff 3:30 p.m. live on CBC). Martin Saric, Joseph Nane, Amadou Sanyang and Emmanuel Gomez did not travel with the team due to injury.

The Reds head to Seattle knowing a win is the only option to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. A victory will close the gap between Toronto and the playoffs to five points with three matches remaining, but defeat could see the team officially eliminated from postseason contention.
“We have got to come out strong here and take it to them,” said Toronto midfielder Jacob Peterson, who scored his first goal for the team in the 1-1 tie at home to Real Salt Lake in the Champions League on Tuesday. “We don’t have to win the game in the first five minutes. They have got some dangerous players so we have got to contain them first and then use our speed up front to exploit them.”
“We have got a lot of guys that need to prove themselves. It has been a rough season but we know we have talent. We just need to come out strong and hopefully this will be the game that we can put everything together.”
