Toronto FC dropped a 2-1 result to CF Montréal on Tuesday night, seeing their 2023 Canadian Championship run come to an end.

The visitors struck twice in quick succession through Zachary Brault-Guillard and Chinonso Offor in the 35th and 39th minute, staking them to a lead they would not relinquish.

Lorenzo Insigne gave the Reds some home just before halftime, tapping home from close range after a deft pass inside the area from Richie Laryea.

TFC return to action in a rematch with CF Montréal on Saturday night in league play at Stade Saputo.
