TFC Takes On MLS Cup Champs

Toronto v. Colorado

Toronto FC will host Colorado Rapids in that team's first visit back to BMO Field since winning 2010 MLS Cup in November. (TSN, 1:30 p.m. ET).

Toronto won its last MLS match 4-2 against Columbus, but struggled on the road in Mexico City in Champions League this week, losing 4-0 to Pumas. The Reds drew Colorado nil-nil when the teams met at Commerce City in May. The Reds' goalkeeper Milos Kocic trained with the first team Friday, while Stefan Frei is still not 100% from a quadriceps injury sustained in Columbus after colliding with Emilio Renteria.

Like Toronto, Columbus too conceded four goals in CCL at midweek, dropping a 4-1 decision to Santos Laguna in their group match. The Rapids are without forward Conor Casey (season ending left achilles tear), while influential set-piece delivery man Jamie Smith remains questionable with a hamstring strain.

DVP and Yonge Subway Closure
Those coming to Saturday's match need to be aware that Don Valley Parkway, from Highway 401 to the Gardiner Expressway, will be closed the entire weekend. At the same time TTC officials, will be shutting major parts of the Yonge subway line between Eglinton and Bloor stations. The moves will push regular DVP traffic onto city streets and clog other routes around the city. Please plan for public transit accordingly by visiting TTC.ca for local route updates and GOTransit.com if arriving from outside of the city.
