Toronto FC midfielder Jonathan Osorio has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 31 after a standout performance in the club’s 1-1 draw against rivals CF Montréal at BMO Field.
Trailing by a goal late in the latest edition of the 401 Derby on Saturday, club captain Jonathan Osorio stepped up for the Reds, pouncing on the rebound from Jules-Anthony Vilsaint’s effort and firing home a powerful, acrobatic left-footed finish.
The 89th minute equalizer, Osorio’s 68th goal for his hometown club, proved decisive, securing a point for the Reds and officially eliminating CF Montréal from Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs contention. Saturday's dramatic derby-defining goal also earned Osorio Energy Moment of the Matchday presented by Celsius honours for Matchday 31.
The honour marks Jonathan Osorio’s first MLS Team of the Matchday selection of the 2025 season and his thirteenth overall for Toronto FC.
