Jiménez named to Week 8 MLS Team of the Week

The Spanish striker can't stop scoring!

Jesus Jimenez bagged himself a jaw-dropping brace in a losing effort for Toronto FC, falling 5-4 to reigning MLS Champions New York City FC. The pair of strikes vaulted the TFC newcomer up to the top of the goalscoring charts with six goals in eight games in MLS.

The 28-year-old staked the Reds to an early 1-0 lead with a tidy finish in the area, redirecting a first-time effort off a perfect feed from Jonathan Osorio past NYC goalkeeper Sean Johnson.

The Spaniard would complete his brace in the 28th minute in fine fashion, collecting a perfectly weighted through ball from Kosi Thompson before chipping the keeper to stake TFC to a 2-0 lead in New York.
