Another young, homegrown talent is making his mark on MLS! Jacob Shaffelburg continues to impress for the Reds, recording his first-career MLS goal Saturday from Yankee Stadium in Week 5 of the 2021 campaign. That earned him a bench spot of the MLS Team of the Week!

Entering the match in 69th minute in relief of Yeferson Soteldo, the Port Williams, N.S. native scored the Reds' lone goal in the 74th minute over the weekend from NYC, securing a point on the road for Toronto FC.

Shaffelburg will have another opportunity to find the back of the goal this Saturday, when Toronto FC take on Orlando SC from Exploria Stadium.
