Recap: Toronto FC II vs. Louisville City FC

Toronto FC II fell at the hands of Louisville City FC on Friday night in their 2018 home finale.

Louisville started strong opening the scoring inside 11 minutes as forward Ilija Ilic took advantage of a fortuitous bounce and fired home the opening salvo.

Just before the halftime break, the visitors doubled their lead as Alexis Souahy got on to a corner kick and muscled it home past Caleb Patterson-Sewell.

The Reds came out in the second half with some jump, forcing the play into the Louisville end.

Ayo Akinola had a strong look as he got in behind the Lou City backline, but his smashing shot was stopped by Tim Dobrowolski.

Akinola found the back of the net a little later in the half but was ruled to be offside on the cross from Tsubasa Endoh.

USL Golden Boot leader Cameron Lancaster scored his 22nd goal of the season in the 80th minute to make it 3-0.

The Reds pulled one back in the final moments at substitute Jordan Perruzza did well to curl home his first career USL Goal in just his second USL appearance.

The Young Reds will close out the season with a pair of road games. The first of which goes on Tuesday when they travel to Nashville to take on Nashville SC. Kickoff is set for 8:30 PM. You can catch all the action right here on
