Canada calls up four Toronto FC players Concacaf Nations League Qualifying in Toronto

Morgan Chapman Osorio Ricketts Split

Canada Soccer announced its national team roster today which included four members of Toronto FC. Defender Ashtone Morgan, midfielders Jay Chapman, Jonathan Osorio and forward Tosaint Ricketts have all been called into Canadian National team head coach John Herdman’s side for a 2018-19 Concacaf Nations League Qualifying match against Dominica. The match will take place on Tuesday, October 16 at BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario.


Morgan, 27, has earned 14 caps for Canada. During TFC’s 2018 campaign he has appeared in 23 matches registering one goal and two assists (MLS, Canadian Championship and the Concacaf Champions League).


Chapman, 24, has earned two caps and scored one goal for Canada. His lone goal came in his senior team debut on January 22, 2017, as Canada recorded a 4-2 friendly victory over Bermuda. For TFC this season Chapman has appeared in 22 matches, scoring three goals (MLS, Canadian Championship and the Concacaf Champions League).


Osorio, 26, has earned 21 caps for Canada, scoring three goals. For TFC this season he has appeared in 39 matches, tallying 17 goals and seven assists (MLS, Canadian Championship and the Concacaf Champions League).


Ricketts, 31, has earned 59 caps for Canada, scoring 16 goals. For TFC this season he has appeared in 21 matches, scoring four goals (MLS, Canadian Championship and the Concacaf Champions League).
