Three Keys to the Match: Los Angeles FC at Toronto FC

LAFC Three Keys 2018

Back home for our first league matchup with LAFC. Here are the Benjamin Moore Three to the Match.
Bradley Bowl

What’s better than a little father-son rivalry?

After spending years side-by-side with the NY/NJ MetroStars and the U.S. Men’s National Team, the Bradley’s will be on opposite sides for the first time. TFC’s captain, Michael, will face off against his father, Bob, who currently runs the show at LAFC and is looking forward to the opportunity. Both Michael and Bob have a strong understanding of how the other operates, which should make for the ultimate test of wills come Saturday night.

Super Seba

Just when they’ve needed him most, Sebastian Giovinco has stepped up.

The Italian has been red hot of late, notching either a goal or an assist in his last nine matches, scoring seven goals and adding five assists over that span. After missing the trip to Portland, Giovinco could re-enter the lineup on Saturday to provide that offensive spark once again as Toronto’s playoff push continues.

Vela’s Visit

LAFC have had a strong opening campaign in MLS thanks in large part to their star DP.

Mexican international Carlos Vela continues to shine in his first season stateside after a solid career in Europe with the likes of Real Sociedad in Spain and Arsenal in England. Vela also put in a strong showing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup to help his side advance to the Round of 16.

With nine goals and seven assists on the season, Drew Moor and company will have to keep Vela within close proximity at all times.
