Toronto FC Announce 2018 Preseason Plans

Toronto FC announced Friday the club’s plans for preseason with camp set to officially open on Monday, January 22 with medicals at the club’s training facility.


The reigning MLS Cup champions will depart that evening for Los Angeles, California and begin training at the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine) for the third consecutive year. While in California, the Reds will play in four friendly matches. The team will return to Toronto briefly before departing for Mexico City where camp will continue through Wednesday, February 14.


Following nine days in Mexico, Toronto FC will return home as preparations continue for the 2018 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League. The Reds will take on the Colorado Rapids in a two-leg aggregate series in the Round of 16. The first leg is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20 at 10:00 p.m. ET in Colorado with the return leg at BMO Field on Tuesday, February 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
