Vanney, trio of Reds named to the Week 28 MLS Team of the Week

The honours and accolades continue to file in as the Reds continue their march towards the Supporters' Shield.

After their latest result (a 4-0 win over the LA Galaxy), TFC have now won six-straight matches for the second time this season, the longest streak in club history. Their unbeaten run now extends to 11 matches, with the Reds outscoring opponents 32-8 (!) in the process.

The folks at MLSsoccer.com certainly stayed up late to watch Saturday's clash as TFC are once again well-represented in the latest Team of the Week.

Victor Vazquez is in the team of the week for a second consecutive week, and his fifth TOTW honour this season. The Spaniard was at his brilliant best at the StubHub Center, helping to get the scoring started off a clever free kick that pinged off the crossbar for Drew Moor to head home. He didn't get an assist on that play, but picked up his 16th helper of the season in the second half before scoring a goal of his own to bag the game's fourth and final goal.

Captain Michael Bradley made a return to the TOTW with another stellar performance in the midfield. The United States international completed a match-high 68 passes and was critical in his role shielding the defence to help secure yet another clean sheet.

Making just his sixth start of the season, Tosaint Rickettsmade the most of this opportunity. The Canadian striker bagged his second brace of the season to help power the Reds to yet another road victory, good enough for a spot on the Team of the Week bench.

And for the second consecutive week, head coach Greg Vanney has been named as the MLS Coach of the Week, successfully rotating the squad while still managing to lead his side to a convincing result.
