There's simply no stopping Sebastian Giovinco.

The Italian sensation had himself a banner week, leading the Reds to a full nine points from three games. At BMO Field, Giovinco sent the crowd into a frenzy with what turned out to be the game-winning goal. His blistering free kick left Andre Blake helpless as it found the top corner to stake the Reds to a lead they would not relinquish against the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night.

The Atomic Ant was up to his old tricks on Sunday afternoon in Montreal, leading the Reds to yet another derby win over the Impact. Giovinco got the party started in the 41st minute with another superb free kick goal, his 12th in MLS play, extending his lead atop the all-time leaderboard.

Then, in the waning moments of the match, the Italian put himself back in the Golden Boot conversation with his 15th goal of the season, good for third in the league. Mere seconds after Ignacio Piatti brought the Impact back within one, Giovinco restored the two-goal lead with a thundering, first-time, left-footed volley past Evan Bush to the delight of the traveling support.
