Reds Galore in the Week 21 MLS Team of the Week

TOTW 21

A 4-0 drubbing of New York City FC did not go unnoticed by the MLSsoccer.com staff as the Reds are well-represented in the Week 21 edition of Team of the Week.

Sebastian Giovinco had another banner day, going off against NYC once again. The Italian bagged the game-winning goal in the first half, scored his 50th MLS regular season goal in the second half (landing him atop the all-time list for goals scored via direct free kick), set up the play that led to a penalty kick, and assisted Raheem Edwards on his first MLS goal. Not a bad Sunday, indeed.

Michael Bradley completed a game-high 77 passes and played an integral part in limiting the influence of NYCFC midfielders Alex Ring, Andrea Pirlo and Maxi Moralez.

Drew Moor celebrated his 350th MLS appearance by anchoring the Toronto defence to yet another clean sheet.

Chris Mavinga imposed himself with a game-high 7 tackles, including a game-changing stop to keep the score at 1-0, good enough for a spot on the Team of the Week bench.
