TFC III vs. NMIS

Mississauga – Toronto FC III’s 2017  L1 Cup run came to an end on Wednesday night as the Reds were defeated 1-0 by North Mississauga.

The host Panthers opened the scoring on a chaotic sequence in front of Brogan Engbers’ net. The ball bounced its way over to Nathaniel Marksman who slotted it into the back of the Reds’ net.

The Reds went up a man in the 34th minute as North Mississauga’s Nikal Clarke-Smith was sent off for what was deemed “foul play.”

Just before the half, Riley Ferrazzo came close to equalising for the Reds as he sent a shot destined for the upper 90. However, the North Mississauga 'keeper got his fingertips to the ball and pushed it out for a Reds’ corner.

Despite a relentless Reds’ attack, the Panthers held them off to take the game 1-0.

Next up for Toronto FC III is a home match against Aurora FC on Sunday. Kick-off is set for 1:00 PM at the Kia Training Grounds.
