2017 MLS Combine - Performance Testing Recap

2017 Combine

The 2017 adidas MLS player combine got started on Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles. The six-day event will showcase the top young soccer talent in North America before the 2017 MLS SuperDraft on Friday, January 13. The full list of participating players and the complete combine schedule can be found in our combine 101.

Today, the players were put through a series of physical tests. The attendees completed a 30-meter speed test, a vertical jump, and a 5-10-5 agility test. 


The participants will now prepare themselves for the series of games that will follow. The players will also be partaking in interviews with MLS team staff. Toronto FC's Director of Sports Science Jim Liston discussed the importance of today's fitness testing.
