Not all draws are created equal.

It's a cliche to be sure, but the phrase applies across the scope of soccer. From the club game to the international level.

Canada’s under 20 men’s national team embarked on a tour of Europe this November to prepare for the 2015 CONCACAF Championships. Their first test came against England in Bournemouth and Rob Gale’s side answered in a big way, with a pair of TFC youngsters playing a big role.

Canada fell behind early after Arsenal’s Chuba Akpom finished from close range in the 16th minute.

The Canadians showed resolve, battling back to tie the game via Michael Petrasso’s strike four minutes into the second stanza. TFC’s Manny Aparicio played Petrasso through with an excellent through ball.

England unleashed an arsenal of substitutes late in the second half in hopes of wrestling the match away from the visitors. The plan worked, at least temporarily, as Baily Cargill’s header in the 85th looked to be the match winner.

Canada didn’t relent, however, and TFC striker Jordan Hamilton’s marker in added time secured a massive 2-2 draw. The Canucks now prepare for friendlies against Russia and the United States in Spain.
