Day 11: Puppies & Kittens

There was a lot of excitement on Day 11 as Toronto FC volunteered at the Toronto Humane Society,

Volunteers were understandably excited to play with puppies and kittens at a place that's "dedicated to providing compassionate care, shelter, adoptions to caring homes," according to the organization's website.

In the city, Toronto Humane Society acts as "a voice" for abandoned and mistreated companion animals. It is an independent not-for-profit organization that does not receive government funding, and operates through the support of donors.

Toronto FC players Jeremy Hall and Quillan Roberts, TFC Game Crew and office staff had their choice of different ways to contribute, some of which included feeding kittens and puppies in the nursery, walking and interacting with dogs, handling and socializing the special species.  With smiles permanently fixed on player and staff faces, it is easy to see that this is a special place to work and volunteer, 24 hours a day, 365 days a week.

The club thanks the Toronto Humane Society for an tremendous experience and for all the work they do for our community.
