Toronto FC resumed training on Thursday after an off day and the group competed in a five-on-five tournament following their drills for the session.

The group was split into four teams: Grey, Orange, Blue, and Yellow. The Grey team captained by Joao Plata emerged victorious in the tournament collecting ten points and a plus two goal differential. His teammates included Matt Stinson, Torsten Frings, Demitrius Omphroy, Doneil Henry and Stefan Frei. They defeated the Blue team by goal differential as Blue also collected ten points but had a minus one differential. The Blue side was captained by Nick Soolsma and his teammates Gianluca Zavarise, Keith Makubuya, Eddy Viator, Leandre Griffit and Mikael Yourassowsky.

Finishing third with nine points and a minus four differential was the Yellow team captained by Ryan Johnson along with Kyle Davies, Matt Gold, Nathan Sturgis, and Andy Iro. Finishing in last was the Orange team with six points and a minus one goal differential. Representing Orange was Ty Harden, Peri Marosevic, Danleigh Borman, Oscar Cordon, and captain Eric Avila.

Stefan Frei won seven games in goal, while Milos Kocic won four.

Bob de Klerk served as the tournament’s head official, while Jason Bent was the official stats and scorekeeper. Joe Mariner and Mike Toshack were linesmen, Nick Milonas as the fourth official. Marcelo Casal as photographer, Carmelo Lobue- athletic therapist and kitman Malcolm Phillips as the Prize coordinator.
