Sorauren Park To Get a New Look

Even the goalposts will get a makeover at Sorauren Park.

On Monday, August 8, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Team Up Foundation, Toronto FC and Kia will celebrate the refurbishment of the soccer pitch at Sorauren Park with the local community.

Toronto FC players will join local youth, giving them the opportunity to participate in drills with the first team, as part of MLSE Team Up Foundation's vision of changing lives through the spirit and power of sports.

The event on Monday will also kickoff TFC//TWELVE - 12 consecutive days of community initiatives from Canada's first Major League Soccer club.

TFC and Kia will level the existing pitch at Sorauren Park, lay three loads of top soil, replace the sod with Kentucky Blue Grass and install two spectator benches, among other improvements to the soccer field.

The park is located at 50 Wabash Avenue (corner of Sorauren Avenue and Wabash).

Last year Team Up, Toronto FC and Kia joined with then-Mayor David Miller to unveil two newly refurbished soccer pitches at G. Ross Lord Park.
