Toronto FC midfielder, Julian de Guzman, has been named the club’s first Esquire Community Player of the Month in 2011 for his work in April. Rob Knox of European Jewelry made the presentation of an Esquire watch  before kickoff in the Reds' match versus Houston Dynamo at BMO Field on Saturday.

The midfielder was recognized for his commitment to giving back and making a difference in the Toronto community.  This past month de Guzman visited a very special boy and his family at SickKids Hospital, attended numerous appearances for team sponsors and continues to support community initiatives put forward by the club. The Canadian international continues to show his dedication to Toronto FC fans.
