As expected, Toronto FC forward Javier Martina’s glorious volley at the 70th minute from the Reds' 2-0 victory over Portland on Saturday is an MLS AT&T Goal of the Week candidate.

In the two weeks of 2011 MLS season, Toronto is well represented on the highlight reel.  Maicon made a case for himself with
a screamer against Vancouver
, and as good as that goal was, Martina’s is truly breathtaking.




We know Aron Winter has promised exciting football in this new TFC era and
total football
will take time. But so far in the early going these individual moments of brilliance from the Brazilian Maicon and Dutch import Martina are making Toronto highlights easy on the eyes.
