Toronto FC goalkeeper Stefan Frei made an appearance at the Jane-Finch TAVIS Soccer Championship Game on Tuesday, held at Yorkwoods Public School. The event was the culmination of a nine week soccer tournament held for kids in the area.

The community soccer event was held in partnership with ProAction Cops & Kids, a charitable organization that funds Toronto police activities to build positive relations with kids. TAVIS stands for the Toronto Anti-Violence Strategy.

Frei talked to kids about how he became a goalkeeper. He also posed for photos and signed autographs. “I’m out here just helping out at the kids soccer tournament,” said TFC Swiss goalkeeper. “It is good to be here to support the cause. The kids were having fun and enjoying playing soccer which is great to see.”
