[inline_node:4056]Toronto FC’s players may have had a weekend off from Major League Soccer action, but they were out in the community meeting supporters and attending events over the last few days.

On Friday night Dwayne De Rosario, Chad Barrett, Nick LaBrocca and Martin Saric attended the North by Northeast music festival at Yonge-Dundas Square. De Rosario joined Sloan front man Chris Murphy on stage in front of thousands to speak about the festival’s connection to the Right To Play charity.

Reds players were again involved in the NXNE festival on Sunday at BMO Field. Chad Barrett and Ty Harden coached against teammates Dan Gargan and Nick LaBrocca when the battle of Music Talent against Music Media took place in the fourth annual NXNE ‘Put the Boot In’ charity soccer match. Music Media took the title this year winning in a penalty shootout.

Players made appearances at GNC stores on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. First up, Gargan and LaBrocca met fans at  Dufferin Mall on Saturday then it was the turn of Stefan Frei and Nana Attakora at GNC’s Pickering Town Centre location on Sunday.
