Toronto FC announced Wednesday that the club has signed Guadeloupean international defender Eddy Viator. The 29-year-old had been training with the club for a week.

“We were impressed with what Eddy showed us in training and we want to continue adding depth in this position,” said Toronto FC Head Coach and Technical Director Aron Winter. “We watched him during the Gold Cup earlier this summer and like his versatility. He can play both right back and centre back.”
