Rookie Toronto FC II defender Skylar Thomas was named to the USL team of the week on Tuesday. 

Thomas and fellow centre-back Adam Bouchard were big reasons why the Reds managed to keep the Rochester Rhinos from scoring last Saturday night. TFC II battled the Rhinos to a hard fought 0-0 draw in their home opener. 

“Their partnership is getting better,” said head coach Jason Bent. “Skylar talks a little bit more on the field than Adam. We trying to get [Bouchard] to communicate a little bit more. I thought their organization today was pretty good. When you can limit an opposition like them to some long range strikes then you’re doing a pretty good job.”
