Toronto FC (6W-7L-11T, 29 points) visit the Sunshine State to take on 2015 MLS expansion side Orlando City (9W-11L-4T, 31 points) at Inter.co Stadium on Saturday evening. The Matchday 26 encounter in Orlando, Florida kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be available globally in English and Spanish on Apple TV and on TSN3 in Canada.
The Reds enter Saturday’s showdown in a strong run of form, having earned results in nine of their last 10 MLS matches (3W-6T-1L) since July 16, including a seven-match unbeaten run featuring three wins and four ties since July 31. Historically, Toronto hold a 10W-10L-3T record against Orlando through 23 regular season meetings and will look to record their first road win against the Lions since April 2024.

Toronto FC travel to the Sunshine State to face Orlando City SC in their 25th MLS match of the 2026 season at Inter.co Stadium on Saturday evening. Unbeaten in four of their last five away matches following the FIFA World Cup 26™ break, the Reds currently hold a 59W-177L-82T all-time record (259 points) in MLS regular season matches on the road.
THROUGH THE YEARS
TFC visit 2015 MLS expansion side Orlando City for the 24th meeting in the all-time series between the two clubs. Historically. TFC hold a 10W-10L-3T record through their first 23 meetings with the Lions. The two Eastern Conference clubs will meet again in a month’s time when Orlando travel to Toronto on Wednesday, October 14. On Saturday, the Reds will be looking for their first road victory against the Lions since late goals from Tyrese Spicer and Prince Owusu lifted the visitors to a dramatic 2-1 win on April 27, 2024.
ONE STEP FORWARD
The Reds head into Matchday 26 having recorded results in nine of their last 10 MLS matches (3W-6T-1L) since July 16, including a seven-match unbeaten run featuring three wins and four ties since July 31. On September 5, TFC and Chicago Fire FC played to an entertaining 4-4 draw at BMO Field, with Josh Sargent scoring his first MLS hat-trick before Derrick Etienne Jr. came off the bench to deliver a spectacular stoppage-time equalizer and earn Toronto a point. Etienne Jr.’s 92nd minute stunner earned the Haitian international Energy Moment of the Matchday presented by Celsius honours for Matchday 24 while Sargent earned MLS Team of the Matchday honours for a team-leading third time during the 2026 season.
On Wednesday, Toronto FC concluded their three-game homestand with a dramatic come-from-behind 2-1 win over Supporters’ Shield-leading Nashville SC. After conceding an early own goal in the fourth minute, the Reds found their equalizer when Theo Corbeanu and Dániel Sallói combined in the 70th minute, with Corbeanu recording his fifth MLS assist for TFC and Sallói scoring his seventh of the season. The hosts then struck in stoppage time when Emilio Aristizábal fired home after being set up by Richie Laryea and Sallói in the 93rd minute. The late winner, Aristizábal’s fourth of the season and Laryea’s 20th MLS assist for TFC, helped Toronto extend their unbeaten run to seven matches dating back to July 31.
TEAM OF THE MATCHDAY
On Thursday, TFC forward Dániel Sallói was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday (bench) for Matchday 25 following his instrumental performance in the Reds’ dramatic 2-1 victory over Supporters’ Shield-leading Nashville SC. Trailing by one, Sallói sparked the Reds’ response when he headed home Theo Corbeanu’s delivery to draw the hosts level. The 72nd minute equalizer extended Sallói’s streak of recording a goal involvement to six consecutive MLS matches dating back to Matchday 20 on August 15. In stoppage time, Sallói controlled Richie Laryea’s cross and instinctively redirected the ball into the path of substitute Emilio Aristizábal, who fired home to give the Reds a late lead. The 93rd minute strike proved to be the game-winner, with Sallói registering a team-leading 16th goal contribution (seven goals, nine assists) of the 2026 MLS season.
Alongside his goal and game-winning assist, Sallói led Toronto in distance covered (11.57 km) and high-speed runs (43), while ranking second on the team in sprints (14) and shots (3). The honour marks Sallói’s first MLS Team of the Matchday selection since joining the Reds in February. In total, Toronto FC have now earned 11 MLS Team of the Matchday selections during the 2026 MLS regular season – Josh Sargent (3), Niklas Dorsch (2), Emilio Aristizábal (1), José Cifuentes (1), Luka Gavran (1), Richie Laryea (1), Dániel Sallói (1) and Walker Zimmerman (1).
ONCE A RED
Saturday’s showdown in the Sunshine State could feature a trio of MLS SuperDraft selections facing off against a former club. Toronto FC defender Richie Laryea began his MLS journey with Orlando City SC after two seasons at the University of Akron. Selected seventh overall by the Lions in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, Laryea made 21 appearances across three seasons (2016-2018) before returning home to join Toronto FC in March 2019. Since then, the Canadian international has made 165 combined appearances for his hometown club, ranking second among active players and seventh
in club history.
Down the other side, Orlando City defender Griffin Dorsey was selected sixth overall by Toronto FC in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft out of Indiana University. The Evergreen, Colorado native made five appearances for the Reds, including his debut against Independiente on February 19, 2019 and also spent time with Toronto FC II before being placed on waivers by TFC in May 2021. Dorsey spent five seasons with Houston Dynamo before joining Orlando City in February 2026, where he has recorded three goals and three assists in 21 MLS appearances this season.
Tyrese Spicer was selected first overall by Toronto FC in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft out of Lipscomb University. The Trincity, Trinidad and Tobago native recorded six goals and two assists in 42 combined appearances across two seasons (2024-2025) with the Reds. Spicer made his club debut on March 16, 2024, against New York City FC and scored his first goal a week later in a 2-0 win over Atlanta United. He joined Orlando City SC in August 2025 in exchange for up to $550,000 in General Allocation Money and has since recorded eight goals and four assists in 29 MLS appearances for the Lions.
