Reds Ready For A Busy Day

Toronto FC players and Canadian internationals Julian de Guzman, Nana Attakora, Gianluca Zavarise, along with new Dutch signing Elbekay Bouchiba were on hand at the Citytv studios in Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square on Thursday morning.

They braved the chilly spring weather that was sprung on the city in the last day or so to invite fans out to the Toronto FC Kickoff presented by Carlsbergto take place Thursday at 5 p.m. at the square - just two days before the home opener against Portland (Saturday, March 26 at 2 p.m. on TSN).

The players tried to keep warm with the aid of Breakfast Television personality Sangita Patel by taking part in heading exercises. Truth be told, the early morning icy conditions limited the players and the host form doing anything too extravagant. Though the group was invited to take part in a dance routine indoors at 8:40 a.m., which they had to decline as it cut too close to their morning training session at Cherry Beach.

Breakfast Television keeps an archive of recent shows on this page. Check out the appearance when it's updated.

Thursday is shaping up to be a busy one at BMO Field with media arriving in the afternoon to take part in a food tasting event where they will sample the concession offerings for the 2011 season.

Players will have some time to rest after the training session before heading off to Yonge-Dundas Square where supporters are welcome to meet and greet the players, win prizes and take photos with their favourite Reds, such as, say Demitrius Omphroy?Absolutely.
