Ramblers Take Ninth Week

ELIOT RIVER, PEI, JUNE 13, 2012 - BMO Financial Group announced today that the Eliot River Ramblers, a group of U-12 girls from Eliot River, Prince Edward Island, have been selected as the ninth BMO Team of the Week for 2012. As part of BMO’s Canada-wide grassroots soccer program, the win comes with a $500 team prize, a $500 donation to the team’s charity of choice, plus BMO Team of the Week tracksuits for the entire team.


“These girls have a great passion and commitment for soccer and believe in giving back to other players in our community,” said Coach Janos Barna. “This year, they are helping train a group of young girls and show them how with hard work, dedication and passion, they can achieve any goal.”


The BMO program is now past the halfway point with nine weekly winners so far. Six more youth soccer teams (age 7-12) will be awarded BMO Team of the Week based on team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. The fifteen finalists will then vie for the grand prize which will be decided by the Canadian public. Online voting begins August 13th.
