Toronto FC continued their 2026 preseason preparations with a 2–0 win over Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC on Saturday afternoon in Marbella, Spain.
Goals from Djordje Mihailovic and Richie Laryea on either side of halftime secured the result as Toronto used the match to build minutes, test combinations, and continue integrating new faces ahead of the upcoming MLS season.
Toronto opened the scoring early, striking in the 7th minute. Djordje Mihailovic found space in the attacking third and finished clinically to give the Reds an early advantage and set the tone for the opening half.

Toronto doubled their lead in the 56th minute, with Richie Laryea continuing his strong preseason form. The fullback made a driving run forward and finished confidently, extending the lead to 2–0.
At halftime, Toronto made a full lineup change with the exception of Laryea, who remained on the pitch to continue building match fitness.

The second half saw Toronto remain organized defensively while continuing to create chances going forward. Jeonbuk pushed to find a way back into the match, but Toronto’s structure held firm, preserving the clean sheet.
Toronto FC will continue their preseason schedule in Spain as they take on Swedish side AIK Fotball on Feb 7 at 15:00 CET / 9:00 AM EST and continue preparations ramp up ahead of the 2026 campaign.
