Osorio, Laryea, Fraser called to Canadian National Team

Toronto FC midfielders Jonathan Osorio, Liam Fraser and defender Richie Laryea have been named to Canadian Men’s National Team (CANMNT) coach John Herdman’s roster for the upcoming home-and-away series against Cuba in the 2019-20 Concacaf Nations League. Canada will host the first match on Saturday, September 7 at BMO Field in Toronto, with kick-off set for 8:00 p.m. ET. The second match will take place on Tuesday, September 10 in George Town, Grand Cayman.


Osorio has earned 27 caps and has registered three goals and three assists for the Canadian National Team. His most recent cap came on June 29 in a 3-2 loss to Haiti in the quarterfinals of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. This season for Toronto FC, Osorio has made 24 appearances (MLS, Concacaf Champions League and Canadian Championship) with four goals and four assists.


Fraser has yet to earn his first cap for the CANMNT. This season for Toronto FC, Fraser has made 11 appearances (MLS and Canadian Championship).


Laryea receives his first call-up to the CANMNT. This season, Laryea has made 19 appearances (MLS and Canadian Championship) with one goal and two assists for Toronto FC.
