Players To Watch On Manchester City
Sergio Aguero, Pablo Zabaleta and Martin Demichelis are making special trips to Toronto before joining Argentina for Copa America in Chile. Joining them will be Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Edin Dzeko and Joe Hart, along with a number of first team regulars. Manuel Pellegrini’s side finished second in the Premier League this season. Though they ended their 2014/15 campaign without any silverware, Manchester City is primed to compete with Chelsea, Arsenal and possibly Manchester United for the Premiership next year. It will be a poignant summer for Pellegrini’s side, as the futures of James Milner and Yaya Toure will be decided in the coming weeks.
Injury Update: Bendik Could Return
Joe Bendik’s recovery from a foot injury is going well. Depending on his response to Tuesday’s full training session, the 26-year-old could return to game action for the first time since recording a clean sheet in Orlando. Meanwhile, Collen Warner suffered a mild hamstring strain against the Portland Timbers and is week-to-week. Mark Bloom has yet to participate in a full training session with this teammates after suffering back spasms last week.
