Manchester City F.C. announced its list of players that will travel to Toronto for Wednesday’s friendly match against Toronto FC at BMO Field.
Manchester City’s roster features Argentine international Sergio Agüero, Spanish international David Silva, French international Samir Nasri and England’s starting goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Founded in 1880 as St. Mark’s (West Gorton), the club officially became known as Manchester City in 1894. Manchester City is regarded as one of the top teams in England having won four First Division/Premier League titles, most recently during the 2013 -14 season. In addition, the club has won five FA Cups, three Football League Cups, four FA Community Shield’s and one UEFA Cup Winners Cup. Manchester City defeated Southampton on Sunday on the final match day of the 2015 Barclays Premier League; securing second place in the table. The club is led by manager Manuel Pellegrini.
