MATCH RECAP: TOR at LA Image

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a pair of late goals, leading the LA Galaxy to a much-needed 2-0 win over Toronto FC  Thursday night at Dignity Health Sports Park.

The Galaxy had gone 240 minutes of match action without a goal, their last one coming on June 22 in the 15th minute at FC Cincinnati, when Ibrahimovic struck in the 75th minute. His second goal ended a three-match home losing streak, and gave the Galaxy their first MLS win at home since April 28.

Both teams missed golden opportunities to go in front earlier in the game. The Galaxy failed twice on the same possession in the 22nd minute when Julian Araujo hit the right post, and the rebound came out to Joe Corona, whose shot was cleared off the goal line.

They didn't get close again until Ibrahimovic missed high with a shot from close range in the 62nd minute. But after that, the Galaxy solved TFC's defense and Ibrahimovic coudn't be contained.
