Kocic Immense In Toronto Win

Toronto FC's on-trial goalkeeper Miloš Kočić had an outstanding second half for the Reds, helping to preserve the 1-0 victory in the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic.

Kočić made several jaw dropping stops in the second half on Thursday night, keeping a relentless Dallas side from equalizing as Toronto played the whole of second half with 10 men following a 45th minute Nick Garcia ejection.

2009 MLS Rookie of the Year finalist, Stefan Frei, started the match for Toronto and was relieved by Kočić to start the second frame.

The Yugoslavia-born goalkeeper was released by D.C. United last week after that club re-acquired 2006 MLS Goalkeeper of the year Troy Perkins from Valerenga in Norway during January's MLS SuperDraft week.

Kočić has a history of success against Dallas, having seen them off in the U.S. Open Cup last season in a 2-0 victory, followed by a 2-1 league win over the Texan club a few nights later.

It is too early to tell if Kočić can crack head coach Preki's squad but he certainly turned some heads on Thursday night.
