Frei & Gargan Get Interactive

January was a tremendously busy month for Toronto FC.

There was the new management team announcement attracting worldwide attention, headline grabbing transactions at MLS SuperDraft, a preseason media conference, followed by a trip to Turkey to name just a handful of major events.

February promises to be just as eventful. The Reds are preparing for its first preseason match on Wednesday against Partizan Belgrade. The match will not be streamed live online, but supporters can receive updates from the official Toronto FC Twitter account from 10 a.m. ET.

TorontoFC.ca has been posting daily videos and pictures from Turkey, but individual players are also getting in on the fun.

Goalkeeper Stefan Frei is working with Gareth Wheeler of the Toronto Sun to keep supporters “up-to-date with what’s happening at training camp in Turkey.

On Thursday, defender Dan Gargan will be on TorontoFC.ca, answering questions from supporters on a live chat from 1:30 p.m. ET.

As preseason rolls on, Toronto will have to turn trialists into signings in order to fill its first and reserve team rosters with players that fit the Dutch style advocated by Aron Winter and Bob de Klerk. That will provide a great deal of intrigue in the days and weeks to come.
