Four Toronto FC players have been named to their respective National Teams for matches taking place during the upcoming September & October FIFA international window.
Defenders Richie Laryea and Richard Chukwu are named to the Canadian Men’s National Team (CANMNT) roster for three international friendlies. Fresh from their historic appearance at FIFA World Cup 26™, CANMNT will face South American opposition, taking on Chile on September 26 in Toronto and Peru on October 3 in Montreal, before facing USA on October 6 in Minnesota. Laryea has earned 80 caps for the CANMNT, while Chukwu receives his first senior international call-up after previously representing Canada at the U-15, U-17 and U-20 levels, including two FIFA U-17 World Cups.
Defender Benjamín Kuscevic, who has earned 16 caps, will represent the Chilean Men’s National Team in friendlies against North American opponents, with La Roja facing Canada on September 26 in Toronto, USA on September 29 and Mexico on October 6.
Midfielder Markus Cimermancic is called into Slovenia’s National U-21 Team, with the side set to face Israel on September 29 and the Netherlands on October 2 in a pair of 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying matches. The call-up marks the Homegrown product’s first international call-up of his career.
