Bradley CCL 2018 Walkout

With the calendar set to turn over once more, Toronto FC have set their sights on the road towards the first major trophy of the 2019 season. That path is about to become a little clearer come Monday night.

The Concacaf Champions League will return for its 11th edition in February 2019 as 16 of the region’s top teams will compete for continental supremacy. But first, the bracket will take shape at the official draw in Miami as the first-round matchups will be revealed. Fans in Canada can watch the event live via ConcacafGo at 7 p.m ET.

Split into two pots, Toronto FC have been placed in Pot 1 and will face off against one of the eight teams placed in Pot 2 in the Round of 16: Alianza FC (SLV), C.D. Guastatoya (GUA), C.D. Marathon (HON), Club Atletico Independiente (PAN), Club Atletico Pantoja (DOM), C.S. Herediano (CRC), Deportivo Saprissa (CRC), and Sporting Kansas City (USA).

By virtue of their placement in Pot 1, the Reds cannot face off against any of the four Liga MX sides in this year's tournament in the Round of 16, and can only face one of the other four MLS teams (Sporting KC).

In last season’s edition of the competition, the Reds were drawn against fellow MLS side Colorado Rapids in the first round, advancing 2-0 on aggregate en route to a run that saw TFC make their way all the way to the finals.
