Toronto FC forward Jozy Altidore suffered a hamstring injury in the 21st minute of Saturday night’s match against the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium.
Altidore made a pass across the Revolution goal and immediately signalled for the training staff, pointing to his hamstring. Luke Moore replaced Altidore in a game that would end in a 1-1 tie.
"I don't have a real indication of how bad it is or how long it will take for Jozy” said head coach Greg Vanney following the game. “But when I saw him he looked positive.”
Altidore is expected to undergo a scan when the team returns to Toronto on Sunday.
The American international has registered six goals in all competitions for the Reds this season.
